This is a 260-page softcover autobiography with over
100 pictures that include celebraties and dignitaries that
the author worked with during his 30-year career as a
police officer in Pueblo, Colorado.  Ruben Archuleta
grew up in an adobe house with a dirt roof in Antonito,
Colorado.  He was reared by his paternal grandparents
while his parents worked the fields and potato
warehouses in the San Luis Valley.  He graduated from
high school at age 17 and after completing a 4-year stint
in the Navy, Archuleta attended college and joined the
police department in 1968.  He worked undercover with
the Organized Crime Strike Force  and as a scuba diver
led several body recovery operations. Archuleta
advanced through the ranks quickly, while attending the
FBI National Academy, U.S. Secret Service training, and
finished his career as Pueblo's first Hispanic chief.  After
retiring, Archuleta was appointed by Governor Bill
Owens to his transition team and the Columbine School
Review Commission. He currently serves on the Pueblo
Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation Board.
